High pulse pressure but no hypertension

Hello,

I've read that a pulse pressure consistently greater than 50 is a bad sign.

I'm 40 yo and I don't have hypertension and no other serious problem, but my pulse pressure is often 50, 55, or even 60...

I have readings like:

122/65  (PP 57)
120/70  (PP 50)
125/70  (PP 55)
115/59  (PP 56)

and so on...

Well, sometimes I have "normal" too, for example 45 - but not very often.

I know most of people look at those BP numbers and say I'm perfectly fine (even the doctors), but isn't a high pulse pressure as bad as hypertension?

Thanks
