Good Day,

I was anxious all the time about my bp readings, in aneroid measurement my bp is always at 100/70 to 120/80 checked 3 times a day consistently for 5 months, but in digital measurement my readings is 134/90 to 146/90 for 5 months which is pre hypertension accdg. to my doctor, my age is 28 and 65 kgs. help me evaluate my readings??? last day i used to check my bp using digital the result is 149/90 but in mercury is 120/80 at the same date and minute, please help me evaluate the results..

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are your blood pressure readings?  Are there symptoms present? I understand your concern regarding your blood pressure and it is important that regular BP monitoring is done. Persisting increased BP may warrant further evaluation and additional diagnostic tests such as blood tests and hypertensive work-up. If the reading is high ( like 160/100 and above), try to rest for half an hour and repeat the measurement. If the reading does not improve, you may need to have this checked by your attending physician. Take care and do keep us posted.
