Statins

I have reached LOW triglyceride and LDL cholesterol levels after 6 months of zero-bad-fat diet. I am now ready to ditched my prescribed statins. Is it safe to cold-turkey statins or do I need to ween off?
Please advise.

Hi there. Im not a doctor but will give a few observations. You seem to be working hard on getting your diet in order. Medics always hone in on diet, exercise and no smoking for most things. I don't whether  your numbers are better because of the diet or because of the meds. ?Go talk to your doctor, but in any case, its best to be cautious giving up prescribed meds. I know the side effects are not good, but be careful nonetheless.
