Kitty CONSTIPATION

I have a 7 year old cat that has always had constipation issues, recently my Vet needed to give him an enema and a bowel constricture was found....almost like a second sphincter about 1" into the bowel, that is likely causing the feces to sit there until forced out by fullness(?)
his bowel movements are very hard,dry(brittle) and corkscrew shaped sometimes just small pellets.

My Vet recommended MIRALAX a laxative...or LACTULOSE a softner.
I've decided to use the lactulose as I've read Miralax can cause mega colon.

I'm giving him 2cc's plus 6cc's water 2x a day.
My question is, is LACTULOSE safe to use on a regular/daily basis??
Have you ever recommended Vitamin C to use along with it??

vitamin C is fine as is natural fiber

Nemo is on a homemade cooked pork diet, I already add zucchini and pumpkin and some wheat bran to his food....this hasn't helped, he needs the stool softner, however even that isn't working as good as it should. he is pooping but only about 2x a week. Should I add more than 2cc's lactulose 2x day?

Adding fresh vegetables like finely grated zucchini as a fiber source is helpful as is a natural patented cat vitamin supplement. Both have worked well in cats like yours that have constipation issues.
