Burn duration

How long should it take a chemical burn from TCA treatment to heal? its been about 5 days and my areas that were treated still look like inflammed red/purple scabs with ZERO SIGN OF IMPROVEMENT. VERY UGLY. Im gonna start putting neosporin on them today... one kinda hurts but the pain is not bad... just the sight! dont want horrible scars :( .. kinda wish i woulda just stuck with the lil warts.

I've never done the TCA so I don't really know.  The skin down there is pretty resilient so don't sweat it too much.  Be prepared for it to appear as if it's going to scar as that's the trouble I ran into with my electro-cauterization and liquid nitrogen treatments.  It may look like it's scarred for a bit but the skin seems to get back to normal eventually.  I'm almost three months out from my last treatment and there is no sign of it and I was convinced I was gonna be scarred for life.  Just be cool.

I think it must be a bit longer for guys. Mine were always healed by day 5. I have some pinkish scaring from my treatment but with time I think that will go away and it's not like we go around showing that area to everyone. :)

Call your doc and ask what to use if the neosporin doesn't help. There is a neosporis with pain that might work better.
