Can I switch from aladera to cryotherapy?

i’m a 20 year old female. I got diagnosed with small, flat genital warts back in late april and they are in the opening of my vagina. It is now mid june. when i first got diagnosed i was using aladera which gave me the worst side effects. they were expected but I didn’t realize how bad they get (itching, swelling, fatigue). about after 2 times of applying the cream my doctor suggested cryotherapy for instant removal. When i went in for cyrotherapy she kinda just tapped them with the q-tip? Anyway, they came back a month later and they came back worse. i started using aladera again for two weeks and i’m noticing some changes but mostly the side effects and it’s driving me crazy. also, i’m reading that you are not supposed to use aladera around the opening of the vagina, so now i’m questioning why a doctor would prescribe it to me.

can i stop taking it and switch to cryotherapy? or would they come back due to incomplete treatment? if anyone has extra advice that would be appreciated.
