I am a 50 yr old female post-hysterectomy (TAH-BSO) - I obviously no longer have a cervix - and while I realize HPV can attack more areas than the cervix, I am currently HPV free.
I have a partner who I have not had vaginal nor oral sex with yet - he has recently been diagnosed with a gential wart confirmed as HPV in the VERY early stages. He is currently undergoing topcial treatment.
My questions are:
1) What is the likelihood of contracting mucosal i.e. oral or vagina HPV when his wart disappears?
2) If we elected to have unprotected sex, are my odds of contraction as likely?
3) Are doctors in general willing to provide the Garasil vaccine to a woman my age?
4) If I were able to get the Garasil vaccine series, would this protect me from vagina/oral HPV?
Thank you for your response.
