Do I have HPV?

3-4 months ago I received unprotected oral sex from a high risk person (female). I had a full STD screening and it came back all clear. My concern is the STDs I wasn’t tested for. HPV and Herpes. I don’t believe I have symptoms of Herpes but I am extremely worried about HPV.

I have since had unprotected vaginal sex with a prospective girlfriend who informed me she had been tested for STDs and got the all clear.  Which by all means makes me happy but since the unprotected sex with her about 2-3 weeks ago. The days after my penis was red raw and tender. I washed intensely and after a week or so it got better but I’m concerned about the following which may be related to recent sexual activity or the risky oral 3-4 months ago.

The skin around my penis shaft and head has been pealing skin (settling down now), some tiny spots that went, lighter coloured patches have appeared around the penis head, tiny red pimples (seen under torch light) around the penis tip and some raised red skin (tiny and under touch light) and easily irritated skin that seems to come and ago...

I’m checking my penis multiple times a day and I’ve booked an appointment again to take a look. Some opinions would be appreciated? Part of the problem is that I’m looking at my penis at every angle with light and it is hard to know what is normal or irritation, STDs... etc

Anyway IDK if this would help. I got this from https://www.askexpertsnow.com/ask-the-experts/

There was a post titled Insertive Oral Sex with CSW. STI's Transmission Risk (HIV/HPV)

in short, Dr. HHH said that:

There are no data on HPV transmission by oral sex, but undoubtedly it is very low (under 1 in several thousand?) for any single encounter. In any case, as a sexually active human being, you can safely assume you have (or have had) genital HPV before now. This particular event would not meaurably elevate that possibility. No, you should not be worried at all and your wife should not have a pap or otherwise be evaluated for HPV on account of this event.

This was made within 24 hours, so this info is kinda real time.

Based on what the people here normally say. Getting HPV from oral sex is rare, since it is more commonly transmitted through genital to genital sex.

I asked my local doctors, they don't think HPV is transmitted via oral sex. Dr. HHH and Edward Hook also thinks that it is possible but it is rare to get HPV via oral sex. It can happen and we won't ever know it since it cannot be tested, but it is rare and according to some posts they had few years back they haven't seen a case of oral to genital transmission.

i had an exposure also during the past month. I am also extremely worried about this matter.

It sucks that we wont be able to know if we have it or not. the positive thing here is that there is a small chance to get it, then there is 90% chance that we will clear it and when we dont there is a small chance of it developing into cancer, but by that time probably they would have developed a cure.

So this is something we shouldn't worry since we cannot really do anything about it, but its better than other std since the chance of getting it and not clearing the virus and it developing into cancer is small.

I found online information helpful. However What I found hard was understanding the early stages to get things treated early if needed.  I think once a year has passed since possible exposure I will feel more at peace x

I wanted to follow up to help others. After visiting a sexual health clinic i got told I do not have any signs / symptoms of genital warts by two members of staff. I got some practical tips about checking my penis, commons areas they appear etc. I will continue to inspect my penis but the peace of mind i received today really helped.

I had convinced myself I had symptoms, however it think was more down to the fact i had inspected my penis in ways I never did before.
