i take valtrex on a daily basis. because i think by the time my cervix heals from an outbreak, i seam to have another one. really not sure what the deal is cause i am always in pain. i think my hpv producing abnormal cells on my cervix makes it more irritated and makes my outbreaks worse.
Hi alexdelong this is tedabell I know how to take my medication. The question I asked about how you take your medication was relating toangel0419. There was a slight misunderstanding.
If you have medication then you have been to a doctor and a pharmacist. Your questions about how to take your medicine should be directed to these professionals. Your pharmacist, in particular will be happy to help.
The burning and tingling I do have that is right before an outbreak. The feeling is in my vagina area I feel sharp pains as well in the lip area of the vagina. I have been experiencing outbreaks since August 2008. I thought it was genital warts because I have that also but I haven't seen any in a long time but it turned out to be genital herpes.I got a diagnoses in April 2010 the whole time it was genital herpes when I found out I was overwhelmed but I learned to deal with it. However, it's not going to kill me. Life goes on you know what I mean but sometimes I tend to get depressed and stressed when I think about it. However, as long as I take my acyclovir tablets and don't have outbreaks I am happy. What I mean is how often you get outbreaks is it once a week once a month or every couple of days. My outbreaks are much better know I used to get them once a month now it's every couple of months. Sometimes when I feel an outbreak getting ready to come on I start my daily suppressive tablets. Sometimes I don't start them right away and I take it for episodes because the sore is already present. How do you take your meds.
i am really not sure how often i get the outbreaks cause the symptoms are basically always there, i just want to rip out my cervix sometimes. but i do think when i feel my constant symptoms worrsen that could be that i am having an outbreak. i know i had my first one in aug 08 cause it was horrible, my dr really thought i had cancer cause my cervix was so bad and we didnot know that it was herpes at the time. i might have had 3 since than but not sure. its said that as time goes by, especially after the first yr, outbreaks get less and less. depends on your body i guess, some people go outbreak free after awhile of being on supressive therapy while some still get it....who knows this virus is so painful and confusing... as far as the muscle aches and burning in the nerves i also get that at times...they say its like a fibromalgia that is developed with the herpes or the anxiety of the herpes. the burning you have is it like fire and tingling?
Yes I still have those symptoms that you just mentioned but just before an outbreak my back starts to hurt.I feel tenderness in my thighs my muscles start to ache. I even get neck pain muscle tenderness and spasms in that area.I also experience mild headaches to just before an outbreak starts I think this is called the prodrome stage.
This disease is a mess but I deal with it to the best of my ability. I try not to stress.
On the other hand I just continue to take my medication and eat right and get plenty of rest when I could.
Another thing how often do you get outbreaks and do you know if the virus can lie dormant in the nerves while taking daily suppressive theraphy will the outbreaks go away.
do u still get the symptoms: burning, itching, irritation between outbreaks? cause i have been on suppressive therapy valtrex for over a yr and i still have symptoms constantly. it drives me insane...
