Genital Wart outbreaks for 7 years

Hi,

I'm a male who has been suffering with genital warts outbreaks for over 6-7 years...

I have done a ton of research on the subject of HPV.  I was first diagnosed with HPV genital warts back in 2006 when I was 23/24.

When I first went to my general practitioner doctor back in 2006 when I had 1 wart on my penis shaft, the idiot said to leave it and it would go away. After about 6 months it didn't and then I had a further outbreak of more at the base of my penis.

Anyway, over the years I've gone to the free clinic near where I live and I've had numerous Podophillin/Freezing treatments and they used to get rid of the warts for a while but then they come back eventually.  The longest I've been without warts is roughly about a year.

The outbreaks I have had in the last 2/3 years seem to be a lot smaller, almost hardly noticable, I only know what to look for because I use a magnifying glass and I can see the tiny more clearly.  They have been confirmed at the clinic each time so I'm not being paranoid.

I've tried the full 4 month course of Aldara recently after a recent outbreak but this had no affect whatsoever, I didn't even have any skin reaction or anything, I just felt a bit tired with flu like symptoms so I don't think I will take it again.

It seems here in the UK and across most western medicine practices, they just treat the visible signs of infection without addressing the underlying immunity (or lack of) cause.  I believe my problem is my body's cell-mediated response, it seems it has never really shut down this virus.

Has anyone heard of using Tagamet to boost cell-mediated activity?  I hear it has helped kids overcome normal and genital warts. I've ordered some and I'm self medicating at 600mg with a view to increasing for a maximum of 2-3 months.  I've read about adults who have had success and this drug can help activate cell-mediated activity to clear the virus.

I rarely get ill or allergies but I think my cell-mediated activity is malfuncitoning and I need something to boost my immune system.

I also hear Dr Ian Frazer, creator of Gardasil is also working on a therapeutic form of the Gardasil vaccine, when this will be ready and approved for use though is anyone's guess.  I guess I'll have to wait until I'm 40 or something.

All the docs tell me to just persist with the normal treatments of freezing but I feel these don't address the problem of immunity.

In addition no matter what anyone says, it's very hard to start a relationship with these warts around. Over the years I've had 10 sexual partners, some casual, some gf's, always when the warts aren't around and I've been clear for a long while. Is it more likely that I have caught another strain of the virus?

Anyway, I've decided to be celibate until I meet someone I want to have a long-term relationship with I don't want to pass anything on to anyone else and I don't want to catch any other strains of the HPV virus. I feel like until I can go 6 months without an outbreak there's really no point even dating someone. The whole experience has really made me scared now of going with anyone, obviously warts aren't that serious and I'm also afraid of all the other more serious things you can catch.

If any doctor or anyone with any useful advice is reading this I'd like your opinion on whether my immune system can fight the virus. Am I the 1-2% of the rare people who will get outbreaks for the rest of their life?

He refuse to prescribe me Vaccine. Recently, One of his patient came in for diarrhea problem and he prescribed him probiotic. Patient also was dealing with warts problem for years. After taking medical strength of probiotics...Wart were completely gone!!! Wow!!! My doc prescribed me same for 2 months...I am hoping it works wonders! Will keep you posted. Don't lose hope!!!

Hi luigem. I can totally understand how you feel. I think if your HPV is non-cancerous, I don't think it will develop into cancer. It will just be a wart. I hope you're not anxious too much and I hope everyone with HPV will live a normal life as we deserve.

I have tears in my eyes ready your story. I'm filled with empathy and I can totally understand how you feel. I'm also having wart outbreak at the moment inside anal canal and I think they're going wild in there. The doctor said there's lots in there and when I spread my anus I can't even see my anal canal anymore. I'm currently using Anusol and will start my first freezing treatment may be next month. Do you find Anusol work at all? I feel like there was more after I applied it. I got anal warts about 3 years ago when I was young and stupid I had bareback sex with about 2 different people. I can still remember who exactly they were. I just recently moved out and became very sexually active. I never had a noticeable outbreak until recently, it bled everyday. Now I haven't had anal sex for a month and it's driving me crazy! I think I won't have sex until they disappear but it seems like a long road. The internet lies! Because I read many articles and they said HPV will disappear in a few months but in my case, or in most people's case, they just keep growing like it's a fun party!

I totally agree that they should find a cure soon. HPV is so underestimated! More people needs to be made more aware of this and be educated and be protected from it! And a condom that would product a larger area than just the freaking penis should be invented already! Seriously! It only protects against HIV and Hepatitis B! And it's 2015 it's freaking about time! I'm so angry and annoyed at the same time. I'm a nice person and I'm sort of young. I want to be able to enjoy life and people don't know enough about the effect it can have on a healthy person's psychology and the effect of their lifestyle, if you're a nice person that is. Many freaking ******** would still go around ******* and infecting others with the virus! I always tell my partners before having sex and they can estimate if they want to take the risk. I will only have sex when the warts are not visible from outside. If the outbreak is so crazy like now I wouldn't want to risk infecting others.

Stay strong and positive. I never thought about love before, I thought it's something that would get in my way of what I want to achieve. But now that my chance of finding love is limited by HPV I sort of miss it, a little. lol I met a few nice guys I won't even go on date with them because I don't think it will work out. It's so not fair. Please doctors, find a cure.

Funnily I'm also in UK! May be we can have a coffee. Keep us updated on your story. By the way does your warts feel itchy? Whenever I feel itchy it feels like it's growing bigger...

I follow this system by Mark Hyman to ensure my body is functioning at its optimal. http://drhyman.com/downloads/UltraMindCompanionGuide.pdf

Also if your having a breakout.. nothing, and i mean nothing works better than blending garlic and water together and repeatedly applying it throughout the day. You'll see results after 1-2 applications and it should be completely gone in 24 hours if you do 10-15 applications.

With the garlic blend, leave it uncovered when you apply it, it should be watery to avoid burning yourself. I made it into a paste one time and covered it for 2 hours and it gave me second degree burns so respect the power of garlic.

best of luck.
