Effects of cryotherapy as HPV treatment?

I had two cryotherapy treatments for GW, the first about 2 months ago (it wasn't successful, didn't even blister), the second slightly more aggressive treatment two weeks after (very successful).

It has been about 7 weeks since the treatment and I hadn't noticed any side effects until I got my period (I skipped the one immediately afterwards). This time, I am having some pain and discomfort where the GWs were, when inserting my tampon (feels like chafing). There is no swelling, bumps or redness.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this after cryotherapy, as perhaps my body is still in the full healing process? Or if I should book another follow-up appointment (a bit difficult to get time off work).

Thanks!
