Has my HPV gone away?

I went to the health unit in 2008 for my yearly pap, that is when i was informed that i had HPV.  Then i went back in 2009 again for my yearly pap and all that was found there was cervical cancer cells on my cervix.  So my doctor took a sample from me and sent it to a lab.  When I called back for my results the nurse told me that everything was fine.  So what i am wondering is, Is there a chance that the HPV is gone??

In the majority of cases the HPV can lay dormant/"cleared" in the body making it undetectable/unable to be transmitted. congrats on your body fighting the infection/virus!
