Hpv from oral sex

Hi all,

I performed oral sex on a man 3 months ago. He states he was clean. I was tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, HIV, Hep B, Hep C; all came back negative thankfully. My question is, could I have gotten HPV in my throat? I got the Gardasil shot when I was a teen. I have had the feeling of a lump in my throat the past month but I thought it was due to my anxiety about other STDs but now that I have been cleared by those I'm worried. I saw an ENT about a month ago for the lump problem and he said I was fine. I have been clearing my throat a lot more and actually earlier this month I saw my ENT for a sore throat that she said was a sinus infection and post nasal drip. I did not even think to mention to them about oral sex. Do you think I got HPV in my throat from this event? And honestly it wasn't even oral sex more like putting the penis in my mouth for less than a minute and stopped. What are my chances of having this?

How are you doing? Going then the same exact problem. Any updates ? I been going from doctor to doctor. Literally, all they say is anxiety and allergies. Allergies well, i took that to consideration until 2 months go by with the same problem and no fix even with the different allergy meds prescribed.

Not likely.  Odds of getting oral HPV from one sex act is very low but not zero. Oral sex is not safe, it never was. If your ENT did not see any lumps then its a good sign. There is no test for oral HPV except a biopsy of a wart.
