Human Papilloma Virus

i recently got diagnosed with HPV although i do not know which type it is and who or where it came from. I do jiujitsu and i was scratched by my partner on my wrist and had a scar, it then got infected and i noticed on my other arms small little pimple like structures appeared as well. i got it checked and the doctor said it was warts from HPV. I have 10 warts now on my forearms and wrist and none at my genital area. i am currently undergoing liquid nitrogen treatment. How long after i get cured from the HPV can i resume sexual activity? will the HPV be able to remain dormant in my system even after the ones on my skin has been cured?

Go up to the top where it says forums and click on doctor forums.  Scroll down the right side until you get to STDs and click on that.  Just scroll down the list of questions until you find some on HPV or key word search in the box for words you are interested in and go from there.  At the bottom of each article you read will be a list of similar posts to read.  Be aware not all of those posts are "Ask A Doctor" posts as some are regular posts like yours.  Just take some time to search and you'll discover a lot.

You need a second opinion if you ask me.  From what I understand you do not have genital warts.  All warts are caused by the HPV virus but some strains are strictly genital while the others are strictly elsewhere.  Do some research on this forum and on the STDs Ask A Doctor forum and see what you can drum up .  There is tons of info on the doctor forums.  keyword search there first.  I'd recommend an experienced dermatologist.
