Hi, last week my partner was diagnosed with high risk HPV. At the same time I went to the doc as I have had a few small warts on my penis for about 3 yrs now. Anyway the doc confirmed them to be genital warts and I had them lasered off. My partner will go back to the hospital next week as she had another pap smear. I am not sure what treatment exists for my partner, on initial examination of her cervix the doc could see no tumpour or cancerous growths, what can we expect?
So my questions relate to what to do next.
I understand from various postings that we both need to make sure we get a lot of rest, excersise and fruit to really ramp up our immune systems. Anything else we can do here?
Also it seems the virus can be cleared between 6mths to 2 yrs with naturally strong immune systems, is that same for for men and women bearing in mind that my partner has high risk HPV?
Should we stop having sex with each other until we have both cleared the virus? That could take 2 years!!! I read sex with a condom is no prevention.
