Is there any hope soon of a cure for hpv 16 infection

Hello. I am a 51 year old single gay male.  I know that I am at higher risk of developing hpv related throat cancer at some point as I have had an active sex life but am currently celibate. I am taking medication for the hpv related anxiety which only partially controls it but I still have panic attacks and don't get much sleep because of the worry. The thought that I am going to die in my 50s because of choices I have made is never off my mind. I have thought about vaccinating over the last few years and I'm now full of self recrimination that I didn't.  I think for some years the evidence was mixed which is maybe why I didn't vaccinate. 1) Is there anyone who is managing to cope better than
me with the anxiety. 2)  Is there any hope of a cure for those with an hpv 16 infection.  I don't know for sure that I have it but I think it is virtually impossible that I haven't been exposed to it, maybe more than once as I always perceived oral sex to be safer than anal sex, but not now.

What's done is done, the best thing you can do is live your life and try to enjoy it as best as you can.

I think worrying weakens your immune system which is the greatest weapon against hpv.

I felt the same but I can't change the past no matter how much I want, and worrying about the future is ruining the present.

A cure...i wouldn't count on it, but they say AHCC can help the virus go dormant which I'm sure you've read about.

Try not worry, just live, make better decisions and try to help others do the same.

A cure would be so amazing though.

Thanks for your reply.  The anti-anxiety medication has kicked in so although hpv is constantly on my mind I am able to function now and have even managed to sleep the last few nights.  I was already 40 in 2007/08 when they started to link hpv  with throat cancer and even for a few years after, different studies produced different evidence so my generation didn't even know that oral sex was a risk for hpv until we were middle aged.  I suppose I should just remember that.  I don't intend to have sex ever again though.  I've bought some AHCC but it is very expensive.  I'm just taking one a day when I should probably be taking six a day for six months, but I just can't afford to buy as many tablets as that.  I'll just have to stick to one AHCC a day and hope it does something beneficial.
I'm glad the anxiety is going down.  I really hope you never get cancer, especially because of hpv.
