Mild to Moderate dysplasia

Had colposcopy done 2 months ago and results were mild to moderate dysplasia. I'm having
repeat pap done in a few weeks and wondered if anyone has continued with just paps for
mild to moderate without having LEEP done. I'm not convinced I have to have LEEP at this
point.

Last week I had a pap that came back 'abnormal' with asc-us.  The dr. said I also had HPV.  After reading for the last few days- I am assuming that means high risk.  I'm obviously concerned  - but also confused.  I haven't had sex AT ALL in 2 years.  Prior to that - I was married for 20 years, and had a brief relationship 2 years ago.  So it either was from my x, or the other relationship.

My concern - this has to be at the least 2 years old - had a clear pap test 2.5 years ago.  So - does this mean that the HPV has been active and 'growing' all that time?  Could it have just reappeared after being dormant?

Any suggestions for helping to improve the outlook?  I am worried about what they will find in 2 days when I go back for the coloscopy.  Any thoughts?

ok..I know this has nothing to do with dysplasia but it is hpv related...did anyone who has had hpv ever have a white coating on the tongue?? I've had it for at least 2 weeks and it's freaking me out becausei keep reading **** about oral cancer and how if not caught early enough u can die cuz it spreads rapidly yada yada ...i go to my obgyn tomorrow for the removal of the 'abnormal cell' but im scared to ask questions to them because i feel like that look at me diff. now that i have been diagnosed with hpv i mean i've been going to this gyn for over 5 years and this change has just ocurred since october...so its awkward for me.. any one have any advice?

guys don't have a cervix girl!if a guy has a non-wart bearing strain of HPV just like a female can have.......the body will clear it...it goes dormant/asleep and stores itself in the body....kinda like a sealed box on a shelf.there r over 40 different strains of hpv that r sexually transmitted so he can catch another, and another.....just like u.....non-wart bearing and wart bearing!they will clear......store/go to sleep....does that help?

..but can guys get rid of it too i mean they do have a cervix so where does the virus go if they dont have warts and that type of stuff

maybe as baby was passing thru cervix it stretched and that damn hpv popped off!LOL! wouldn't that be glorious?one stop shopping...baby out and hpv gone....that would b 2 easy!sometimes they watch younger women with hpv on cervix to see if it will go away...throw of the dice if it does.....but always a call for routine paps, one partner and condoms if not!

a man can carry the non-wart bearing strain of HPV and the strain for the warts just like a woman!he can pass this to u....there is no test for this in a man but for woman it is the pap with HPV going to live on cervix.if u were were raped a long time ago....and got hpv.....ur body would've cleared the virus......there are over 40 different strains a woman can get....u can't get the same strain twice!if u haven't had warts and he hasn't then both of u didn't pass warts.but u coulda gotten another hpv virus from someone else or him that is non-wart bearing.

if u had a leep a week ago u should not be having sex for 6 weeks.u'll ruin ur internal healing!u should have a pap again in four months(i had #2 today)did ur boyfriend know u had the hpv when u had the leep?yes u can pick up another strain of this if u have raw sex again and he has it.....does he have warts?or u know u got it from him?ur health should be A#1 with u and not what he wants!:)I sure as hell wouldn't want to have another leep!
