Warts on wrist (or I think they're warts)

I've had two bumps on my wrist since almost two summers ago. For about a week I tried tea tree oil, but then didn't have the patience to continue, and they would sort of turn red, a little irritated, and I would pick at them (bad, I know), and they would lose their top layers of skin but then grow back.  Recently I decided that i've had enough so I started applying DuoFilm, which initially the skin turned white and I removed the top layers etc, except after a few days, some spots of red turned up, like dry blood.  Now i'm starting to think that maybe they're not even warts afterall....Should I stop using DuoFilm if it turned sort of bloody like that? I tried googling bloody warts, BUT mine looks NOTHING like any of the pictures.
