Thank you for answering this question and concern for me.  I am very scared that I might  have this disease. I asked about this because I searched the hpv types and 13 and 32 came as the "heck disease" also a type of hpv which looks like the bump I have inside my cheek. I think I am going to end up going to the dentist so that they can check it out.

Please see a dentist.  Best wishes to you.  I hope the fear subsides soon.  What's done is done, all we can do is take better care of ourselves and help others do the same from what we've learned.  Take care.

Why did you ask about those 2 strains?  Do you know you have those for sure?

High risk HPV 16 and sometimes 18 are the strains that usually become cancer if an infection becomes cancer.

Not going to lie, cancer is possible but it usually takes several years for a persistent high risk infection to cause cancer and that happens in a small percentage of those infected.

Still, I understand the fear and concern.  The best thing you can do is get checked out by a dentist and ENT and tell them you are concerned about the bumps.  The sooner they diagnose cancer the better, so don't hesitate if you suspect anything since you're at risk...small risk but still a risk.

Best of luck and don't let fear stop you from taking care of yourself and enjoying life.
