are you wondering how it is to live with HPV?

Hi guys and gals on this HPV forum!. It has been a long time since I logged into MedHelp which helped me a lot while got my first test positive. I just wanted to share with you how it is to be living with HPV down the road... because i know you might feel like the world is ending...
It has been 2 years now since then for me. and I got back to -normal- life again, I mean normal taking care of myself, doing my test, doing my workout, and eating healthy stuff and vitamins...after all as we grow old we all need to do that so i not consider it a burden at all or special from any one who -has not hpv-
You will learn how to take care of yourself, you will love again, you will forget all the pains and doubts...life will be good again, you will be back to be stressed about what to wear to a party or what kind of nails you should wear... trust me it will pass and you will come out stronger and wiser.
Hug you!!!

Hi Junior214. first of all need to state that once you get HPV you are pretty much stuck with it for life, meaning that you should take care of yourself doing healty stuff and keep your immune system strong so the virus dont get an easy ground on you ok?.
the touch part.. well many people well documented and not documented at all state that HPV does not transfer by hands..but you should be aware that virus are the rockstars and they will find always a way to prevail...i am not saying yes or no..it just means that no one knows how a virus can behave or mutate ok? ...so dont be surprised later on when different things get "discovered! about it.
My partner at that time which to whom i was honest and talk about HPV did not mind at all and frankly we kept having sex as usual (with the understood care and knowledge)
meaning we were all over each other as a normal couple. Of course you know you should wash your hands at all time to not get the flu or after going to the bathroom, so there is no different thing on going handy with your partner wash before and after. take all the precautions you can.
The oral part same thing you will read that it can go through it or not... we did it too and after two years none of us had any problems different than the ones we already were facing. you know what I mean?
My OB/GYN said to me that it is somewhat a curse and a blessing to know you have HPV, you should live your life to the fullest only knowing now what you deal with...i mean there are even worst things out there believe it or not... there are people having "regular" sex life touching, BJ etc...having the HPV but not knowing they have it..
Do not let this to stop exploring your life, your body or your will... just read a lot, get educated, take all the precautions...after all this is life.
There is nothing written in stone and you should keep in the pursue your happiness HPV or not.
Have a joyful life!!!

Hi AquaGrl08,

Just wondering...while you had HPV, could your partner touch your vagina/anus with their hands? Could you touch your partner's genitals with your hands? And could you give oral to your partner?

Any info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
