how soon

How soon can a person develop severe dysplasia after exposure to HPV?  Is it years or months or what.  Has anyone had it develop within one year?

I think anything is possible.  I've read in many places that it takes many years.  But I had CIN II displaysia about 10 years ago.  And yes, it happened rather quickly, in under two years.  And I know that for a fact because I was very young and know exactly when and who I got the hpv from.  So, if you have hpv or some worries about that, I think that it is a very good idea to get a pap every four months if your hpv test is positive and/or you have an abnormal pap.  I don't know your situation so I don't want to imply anything.  That is just my advice from my experience, because it can get bad pretty quickly, and sometimes waiting 6 months between paps is too long.  A lot can change in that time.

Take care

the answer to that is unknown at present..unless u've been with one partner for a long time and had no others....there are more verifiable stats on the HPV virus clearing the body in 6-12 mos.according to the docs under Experts forum.
