hpv?

I have some pimple like things on my penis head, they are hard to see but I can feel them. One part is whitish (could be crusiting, can't tell for sure case I have that happen down here)  others are skin color or very slightly (hard to tell) red. I do have Psoriasis down there so I was thinking it maybe that but not sure. Would HPV appear like this?  My wife has it, and my doctor said there is no way to know fo sure if I had it  unless I had warts, which I don't.

I'd stick with the dermatologist. make sure you are on their cancellation list too to try to get you in earlier. any other dermatologists nearby to try to get into?

protected oral is no risk for hpv.

the topical steroids can be irritating.  maybe something like aquaphor ointment would be a better choice to use at this point?

Hi Grace, I got tested for some std's  ( I got to call on the results..my doc did not test me for everything, he did not think I needed to)  I need to see a dermatologist or someone though for some pimple like clusters I mentioned above , (they are small pimples or whatever they are but they feel rough) I can see and feel on the head of my penis.  I cant get in to see a dermatologist until October! My doctor does not know what it is.  These things come and go, they appear red, and after 2-4 days shed/crust somewhat and it goes away.  I also have sores that come and go too along the ridge behind the head of the penis. That comes and goes too. If I masturbate or something once in a blue moon it will bleed. I call them sores cause I don't know what else to call them. My PCP has me using clobetasol .05 solution on it because I have psoriasis there.. and other places. sometimes it burns...  I have always tested negative for herpes 1 & 2.  I assume it is all psoriasis or hpv but dont know.  My question,  is it better to see a dermatologist or go to some std clinic or something? Another issue is it comes and goes so it can be hit or miss with making these darn apointments.

What kind of risk for hpv is there having protected oral? You have mentioned in the past that there was no risk for HIV  if I remember right but what about HPV/Herpes? I thought you mentioned once before that there was none but can't remember if condoms actually protect from it orally. I was in a situation in May so I need to get tested one last time in November to ease my OCD Brain.

They scraped it off the cervix, twice,  so it will take 5 yrs at least before she MIGHT be able to have children.A least that is what they said.

She had the warts as recent as a couple years ago.  I thought she still had them. I keep hearing it never leaves yu if you get it, but I read it clears in men in a couple years. It did not make sense.

Could I get the HPV that caused her cancer and get penile cancer or somethng, and if one clears it you could not give it to another then right?

I will follow up with doc

the hpv that caused her warts back then has cleared her body.  usually within 2 years most folks clear hpv.

persistent hpv infections on the cervix are what lead to cervical cancer. it's good that your wife is following up on that part of it all. Hope she's had nothing but good news since having it removed :)  her hpv that led to cervical cell changes wouldn't cause obvious warts on you.  make more sense?  pretty much her hpv is a non-issue for you at this point. follow up on your symptoms with your doctor and/or a dermatologist to find out what is going on.

Go see a dermatologist. If necessary, have them removed and biopsied. That is the only test men can get.

She has tested positive and she has cervical cancer from it. and it was removed fortunately.  long story, she did not know she had hpv before we were married and she found out a year and a half ago. We found out it was in her med records  that she had it since1999 but she was NEVER told this. When she asked for copies of her med records from her regular doc (former doc now) before she even knew about the hpv,  this was not even listed. (He was a bad doc) Her GYN had a copy somehow (from that bad doc)from when she was there years ago that said she had HPV and that was back in 99. She has the warts but she thought they were something else. The GYN assumed that she knew. It is partly my wifes fault for not having PAPS evry year. She does now

My doc says I prob have it but it can pass in men and  there is no test for men?  I have been tested for everything under the sun and nothing. I get all kinds of rashes on the head and shaft somtimes and also under the ridge of the head, they look different at times.I had a lot of this before I was married but not all. Doc says he does not know what they are but says they are not an STD. I use clobetasol on it and it helps .My throat is alway phlemy, and it is hard to swallow a lot of time. I have mono right now too.

The white/crusting is gone and it turned redish but it is all gone now b ut if i look under a light i can see there is something still there with the skin. The skin is itchy and irritated at times all over the place

I have had issues with excessive masturbation since I was 13, and the habit is worse  and  am 41!!!! I think for the last three weeks I have done it every day once or maybe twice- a day. I have gone months at a time but there are times I have difficulty . Not sure if that causes psoriasis or different kinds of rashes.

these don't sound hpv related.   certainly be seen and find out what is going on. a psoriasis issue in the genital area could make you more likely to contract hpv.

does your wife have obvious warts or a + hpv dna result from a pap test?
