can hpv stay dormant 20-25 years,before a partner becomes infected,about10 years ago I got sores,to embarrased to go for treatment(I only everhad 1 partner being my husband)2 years ago had cervical cancer. husband said he wasn't an choir boy in his teens
from what i have read the strain u have gets cleared from the body but lies dormant.U cannot get the same strain again but if u r xposed to another..a NEW strain...one of the 30 some strains there are u can get a new one!
so if I understand what you are saying. you cannot pick up the same strain twice, however can the strain come back once it has cleared.
i don't believe so.did u have warts and they went away on their own?i adhere to the school of thought here that the body will clear a HPV virus in 6-18 months.The strain goes dormant and one cannot pick up the same strain.there are 40 diff types and one can b exposed to a new strain...2 of which are wart bearing...HPV 6 and 11.
