wart on inner bottom lip

I noticed a bump on my lower inner lip and went to the doctor and was told that it was a wart. its been 2 months now and the bump has reduced in size to the point of almost disappearing. i was wondering, can warts disappear without treatment? And i'm in a relationship now and i was wondering if i'm putting my partner at risk. Is it transmittable through kissing?

HPV seems to be opportunistic. I don't think anybody can prevent getting run down every once in a while, so there little you can do to on the immune system side to prevent warts.

HPV is definately most transmittable when warts are present, but can also be passed through skin to skin contact with infected skin that does not show a wart. Most people beleive that you should wait some time before determining that you are non-infectious. There is no way to know for sure if the infection has cleared, but six months without warts is a good estimate.

Thanks for your reply! I understand theat the hpv virus will stay in my system without showing any signs of wart or anything but is it possible to transmit the hpv virus even though there are no warts? And does this mean as long as i have a strong immune system i don't have to worry about warts? sorry for asking so many questions, its just that i'm worried...
thanks

warts can disappear without treatment. but warts appear due to the hpv virus. the hpv virus stays in the body though the wart disappears, and they generally become less transient and less active after 2 years. however one can have the hpv and not have an apparent wart because of a strong immune system. It would be a good idea to talk to your partner about this. but its also possible that you were transmitted the virus from your partner or maybe from a previous partner.
