Does a Gluten-Free Diet help with High Blood Pressure?

I feel like I am at my wits end with trying to feed my family.  Everything in the store is processed.  If I buy from a can, it's pumped with gases.  My salads and prepared carrots are pumped with a gas.  And so many things contain wheat gluten in them it's hard to buy food without researching it.  I need to help my husband with his high blood pressure and  the heartburn he gets, but I am baffled with how I can do this without drastically reworking what we eat.

We have children too so it makes it even more challenging because sometimes everyone eats differently :(

It is frustrating isn't it? Have you looked into the DASH diet (Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension). This is a diet developed by researchers at the National Institute of Health (NIH) and is focused on a dietary approach to lowering BP.
