2 years Post hysterectomy

May will be 2 years since I had my hysterectomy with ovary removal. They took everything. I had stage 4 endo. I did 6 months of lupron. Now I'm having lower right cramping, almost stabbing pain at times. I tend to have a little spotting every now and then. I have been to the dr and she told me it was bc they took my ovaries, and thats why i have the cramping. Now I'm not a dr. at all. But does that make any sense what so ever? Im hesitant to call and tell them whats been going on with the fear that im going to take up another sick day from work to go to the dr and have them tell me that its bc they took my ovaries.  Everywhere I have looked on line with people with this problem have  their ovaries, and I dont. So is their anyone out there that could offer some advice or information?
Thanks so much.

Rasta, I was told over the weekend that it could very well be my appendics. So i'm calling today to make another appointment with my DR. I dont plan on seeing the NP anymore.
Thank you all so much <3

I have had seven abdominal surg. as well.  After I had my uterus removed, my left ovary attached to my small intestine with adhesions.  That was soooooo painful.  It would drop me to my knees.  It only hurt when, I guess, the intestines were working.  I had surgery and was better.  THen my ovaries attached to each other with adhesions.  Again, pain, again another surgery.  I have now had both ovaries removed and my appendix 6 weeks ago.  I am still having pain.  I know there are no adhesions, but don't know why I am still in pain.  THe dr. does not seem to be too concerned.  Maybe still healing??? Anyway, my point is ADHESION HURT!  It is very possible that is the problem, but as Cherie said the appendix could also be an issue.  There is something called a chronic appendicitis.  It can flair up and then go away.  Yes, trust your gut.

maybe the NP did not know your issues..I am glad you are comfortable with your pcp..

How long has this been happening the lower right pain with occasional bleeding..anyone rule out appendix?

You dont have to make a decision about switching doctors right now. it may be a good idea to get one more drs opinion though..ther is no price to keep or get good health !!

If your pains and tenderness gets worse, if you develop a fever or bleeding gets alot heavier just if your instincts tell you go to the emergency room.

Lower right pelvis is appendix..intestines. right kidney,  liver and gallbladder higher up.. thats it besides fat and muscle tissues. Just incase this problem is not related to your having a hysterectomy including ovaries and tubes.

I wish you well. trust that gut feeling..its usually right..see a new dr or get a dignosis on this

Cherie,
Thanks for the reply. Yesterday on my way home from work. I started cramping up again and by the time I got home (which is a 45 min drive) I wouldnt stand up straight and my stomach was tender to touch. After several hours it went away.  The bleeding is blood. Not a mucous or a discharge. Usually not enough to really worry about, but sometimes I have to use a pantyliner. I'm really thinking about switching drs. Ive been talking to ppl about other physicans in my area. The only reason I dont want to switch is bc I've been with the dr I'm with now for years and she really knows my problems. I just think that the NP that I saw didnt know what she was talking about.
Thanks again Cherie <3

Hi Welcome to our community !

I agree with you 100% to say spotting and cramping/pain is from having ovaries removed makes no sense at all, sounds like a "blow off answer to me"  I of course am no Dr. but have answered about three thousand posts on this subject and studied it alot..and been in your shoes !

Is the spotting blood, or more like a mucous?

If I was you I would ask dr about a diagnostic laproscopic..as bad. like cancer has been ruled out..I am thinking you have some endo or scar tisssue or addhesions..( Id bet money one of the three) on pelvic cavity..endo if not every bit taken during operation can cause some havoic..as you were stage 4 it would be difficult to get all. internal scar tissue hurts bad..could be attaching any lower pelvis...bowels, appendix, kidneys. or just fat or muscle tissue..same with addhesions and endo.

a Laproscopic test would allow dr to see exactly whats going on...and I think I would try a new dr..ask friends co-workers etc..best way to find a really good Dr. is word of wouth.

please let me know how you are,,or what you think if any of this could be a possibility.

Cherie
