Brown discharge 8 years post op

I had a hysterectomy for cervical cancer 8 years ago. I still have my ovaries. I am now 41 years old. Im having a brown discharge the past few days with no pain, I have not had intercourse in about 1 week. This also happened 1 year ago and an exam and pap smear were all normal.  Could I be having menopause this early? Can lack of  hormones make one sort of bleed? The only symptom of menopause I have is night sweats. Ive been on antidepressants for the past 15 years so the tired, depressed, symptoms arent new. I imagine it will stop by tomorrow like last time so I feel there isnt a need to see a dr.  Any ideas? Should I still see a dr?
Thank you so much for your time
Julia

Greetings Schmoomunitions,
With your history of cervical cancer you should be seeing your gynecologist annually. Your discharge could be a simple vaginitis or something more serious so follow-up please. The average age of perimenopause is 47.5. If you underwent chemo or radiation as part of your cervical cancer therapy possible risk factors of this treatment is early ovarian failure and thus menopausal symptoms.
