Endometrium Thickness 18mm

Hi everyone. Im 41

I saw my gynecologist on 2/18 for ongoing light brown spotting that I've had for 3 to 4 weeks. Prior to that I've spent the last several years skipping periods and then taking Provera periodically to induce periods. My gynecologist did an ultrasound at that appointment and said I have a very thick endometrial lining of 18mm.  She suspected it was from not having a heavy period since August 2015?  I am not menopausal.  I took Provera to induce my period and bled the whole time I was on it.  Once I went off it I bled for 2 days very heavily. Now im spotting very lightly again..

She will do a repeat ultrasound to check the thickness again on Friday?

I tend to always think the worst possible outcome. Trying to think positive Anyone else been thorough this?

Since your last period was in August, it is not surprising that your lining was 18mm. It is typical for the lining to get as thick as 16mm when having regular cycles. So yours is not that much thicker. It sounds like the Provera shed a good bit of it. Let us know Friday's u/s result.
