Fundal Fibroid without a Uterus

Hi!
I had went to the ER for adominal pain last weekend.  They did a CT scan of the adominal/pelvic.  The scan says my uterus is prominent, and that there appears to be a fundal fibroid.
I did the research and understand that fundal fibroid means, but my problem or concern is... I don't have a aterus...
I had a partial hysterectomy two years ago.  I only have my cervix and left ovary left...
Does that mean there is a fibroid/tumor, so big that it looks like I still have a uterus?????

Please let me know what they say... I am in the same boat..I have had a hysterectomy , but my right ovary and cervix were left.   My CT results were read twice. Because I told them I didn't have a uterus when it came up 18mm fibroid on the fundus of the uterus twice. So that was left.  I have went to a gastroenterologist. Liver function test fine. Gastroenterology were wondering why I was there. But ordered at upper abdominal ultrasound. Then wanted to do a colonoscopy too.. I don't think so. Oh, I also have a hernia after the hysterectomy where they put polypropoline   Gore-Tex mesh in.. size of a nickel.... don't know what to do...

Thank-you for your advice and encouragment.  I went back to my PCP and she was much more concern and listened to what I had to say much more than my OBGYN did.  I have an appointment tomorrow for an ultrasound, and an appt for a new OBGYN next week... I hope I can get some answers...
I am also seeing a Gasternologist next month... but my PCP thinks they are separate issues...
The CT Scan said the uterus is diffusely heterogeneous, does anyone know what that means?

Well, if the ct scan said no fibroid, that should be correct...Im wondering what the radiologist thought he saw..was there anything else indicated on the ct?

All I can say is no one knows your body as you do, pain and tiredness are symptoms you should not ignore, somethings up.

just dont stop until you get an answer..really long story I had neck problems started with pain, then hand, finger numbness it took me 3 years to get a diagnosis finally one day I went to a urgent care clinic and the dr on hand was a neurologist,he told me to go see a neurosurgeon pronto,,,my discs was degenerating , nerves compressed I was within months of being paralised,

Id advise you to go to your family dr..explain everything, ask advice, You may want to push for a MRI,,,better test than cat or ultrasound.

as for radiologist yup big mistake 1. he should not of told you anything he is supposed to report to dr whom is suposed to give results to patient.  and he was wrong, but even the best of the best make mistakes...just dont give up,,be persistant,

Its possible this abdominal pain is not even of the reproductive system,,could be a gastro issue, something to do with intestines, may not be a bad idea to consult a gasterenologist

Well, I went to my OB this morning, and he laughed at the results from the CT Scan... He said I don't have a uterus so I couldn't have a fibroid.  He ordered a ultrasound, but sounded pretty confident that there was no fibroid... Now I am totally confused... Can a radioligist make that big of mistake, saying there is something there when there isn't???  I am still in pain and soooooo tired of these doctors giving me the run-a-round... If it's not a fibroid, is there something else there I should be seeing a different doctor for???

sometimes uterine reminants are left ,,error of course , its possible for a fibroid or endometroisis , cysts etc to grow on this , It would be difficult to tell until dr removes fibroid how much of the image is fibroid and how much fundal region of left behind uterus.

be sure to know your options for fibroid,,,,medicine can shrink them,,,theres more than one surgical procedure,,,since you have already had a hyster you may decide to have it surgically removed so they can pick up the little bugger they left behind..Please rest assured in the upper 99 percent fibroids although often refered to as tumors or masses are most always begnine. the prob is they can just grow so big you will want to resolve this,

I think and its just a guess that yes your fibroid is good size and the piece of uterine tissue is small or the surgeon would not have missd it,

my room mate when I had my hyster was 80 she had a cantelope size fibroid was up and walking on day two and she was a itty bitty lady,,,I dont know how she hid that it musta been towards the spine.

the scan should give dimensions of fibroid we cannot interpert them but Im betting if you did a online search just type in 5mm uterine fibroid etc...youlll get some knowledge
