Maybe a strange question...

I am having a LAVH/BSO on the 24th.  I know I will be in surgical menopause but I was wondering if I would still have the same or similar cravings that I get each month right before I start my period?  Usually I want a snickers bar and/or chocolate milk shake and then go through a couple days of feeling irritable.  Will that all stop after I no longer have periods?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I was just wondering. :)

Hannie, there is no question that is not welcomed here ! IDK is my honest answer,The cravings are psychological I think its comfort food when we are feeling bad, yet soooo many women crave chocolat prior to period ther could be more to it, I can tell you from personal experience,,that I have had a complete hyster and yes I do find myself craving chocolate when stressed,,Im uncertain as to when my normal period woulda been cause its been a while and my cycles where out of sync anyways,,Id say as long as you dont have high cholesterol or weight issues go for it,,in moderation I do,,i could loose 20lbs but when I want candy i will eat it,,just one candy bar..take small bites and savor it,

My personal belief is anything in moderation( food) is Ok,,,they who ever "they" are change thing sooooo oftern who knows what to believe example years ago eggs where claimed to be so bad "they : said only 2 eggs per week,,well thats been changed..I think as long as you dont over do youll be fine...and have a supply when you get your surgery..comfort food is ok,you will deserve to pamper self a bit..

just remeber what I wrote in my tips journal do not let slef get constipated,,it hurts most first few bms and its worse if your binded up take the colace( ask dr) and drink lots of water w paon pills.

write me w any questions,,Cherie
