Spotting after a partial hysterectomy

Is it common for spot bleeding after a partial hysterectomy. I had my hysterectomy back in July 2009 and this past month I had 2 incidents to where I was bleeding but not heavy.

Well I went to the doctors and he thinks that maybe I had a hemmoroid that ruptured or something that I cannot remember what he called. I now made an appointment with a family doctor to see what is going on. I had 2 incidents one in January and one in February where after a bowel movement I bleed and honestly I dont know if the blood came from my front or back area. I do know that I was told my white blood count is high and now I am wondering if this could have something to do with this. I really hope everything is fine and I just think that if I did rupture something I would bleed for days not just one day a month.

Yes they removed my cervix also. I called the doctor this morning and I see him on Tuesday morning. I figured that since I have my ovaries that would explain why I sometimes feel the cramps and headaches since they are still producing the hormones.

Your ovaries are still producing hormones. Your also probably still ovulating too. That does'nt explain the bleeding though. Did they remove your cervix? The best thing to do is see your Dr. Remar

I had my uterus removed. What is weird is I even get the same symptons and I once did whenever I was getting my period. I get cramps and headaches.

What did you have removed, ovaries or uterus? No, you should'nt be having any bleeding this long after your surgery. You need to call your Dr for an appointment. Could you possibly have a UTI? Sometimes that can cause bleeding. You do need to get in an find out what's going on. Make sure they do a urine sample to check for a UTI. Please let us know what your Dr says. Remar
