sex following hysterectomy

My wife had a hysterectomy in January of this year. We had sex several time since then. However, when I go deep...she bleeds to the point I have to wash the sheets after we are done. The bleeding quickly subsides following intercourse. She doesn't feel any pain. Lately, I don't go deep because it seems to eliminate the bleeding concern. What might the problem be. Thank you

Hi. Found this thread and this is exactly my dilema now. Had my hysterectomy 8wks ago Uterus cervix & left ovary removed. My husband and had sex few days ago (6wks+ post op) though my husband was too careful and gentle, i bled a little, plus pelvic pain right side afterwards which lasted until the following day.  After a week we tried again, my husband was really anxious not to hit anything deep down there.this time no blood but still with pain plus found small parts of thread (greenish brownish) with my discharge. Now i'm worried about the thread. Could it be that we have torn the sutures? Is it still safe to have penetration now that the vaginal canal has been cut and closed?

Had complete hysterectomy (tubes, uterus, ovaries, cervix) 7 weeks ago due to endometrial cancer.  My husband and I attempted to have sex recently.  It was extremely uncomfortable!  We used some lubricant something we didn't usually need.  It didn't make much of difference.  Should I be concerned or just accept that it may be a process to get back into the swing of things????

Went to the doctor today that performed the hysterectomy. My wife told me that the doctor performed a thorough examination.  One thing he did was take a long handle q-tip and poked in the area where the cervix was once located.  It began to bleed almost immediately and quite a bit from what I am told. My wife said it hurt when the doctor poked it with the q-tip. Apparently theres some scar tissue that didn't heal correctly. Now she has to go back in November and have surgery all over again to correct the problem. Not nearly the same operation she had in January....more like out patient stuff. I guess they have to put her out to do it. She will be able to go home the same day. Any idea whats involved on their end to fix the problem? I'm going to go with her and bring her home. Also, what are possible reasons for scar tissue not healing correctly? Thank you.

sounds like the cervical cuff needs to be checked,,,they sew up top of vagina when cervix is removed,,,she may not of healed correctly   should go see dr,  bleeding that soaks the sheets sounds like excessive,,also if her sutures did not completley close the spot where the cervix used to be shes inviting infection check it out with gyn. better safe than sorry,
