I went out today looking at some land for sale with a great view,I am near some mountains now and I love the view and scenery , my house has a bit of a view but not much, I was astounded how much there  is out there that can be bought for a song, now I know times are tough and no one has got 'spare 'money but in my opinion if you can come up with some it is worth looking at Land ,and properties, the piece I looked at was almost 3 acres, had 2 wells and Power to the property...a long drive and exclusive neighbours.,plus the most terrific view, now remember this is about 1 hour plus from the beach, the Realtor told me the other day that the price of this piece was$ 59. 950  we took a look and I thought that was astounding but we wer'nt certain, she called me an hour ago and said the Bank would take $40.000 for it. WOW This is in a good area in California near the Beach.....I guess guys what I am saying if you are looking ahead to when we are through this if ,you have equity or savings, maybe its a good time to find something out there in the land/property area......its a buyer's Market ....

and forget the gold, ask the BF for an acre of land whilst we still have it ....

Tell you what guys if you and anyone you know and your children your families dont buy the land someone else will, if the Dollar crashes in the next year or two, trust me every country that the administration is now buddying up with will buy in, China is already buying, remember we are now good friends with Russia.... good portion of Europe , , getting cosier with Iran, Venezulela,Cuba,Mexico . Americans should buy land ..before any foreigner does, Hey Saudi Arabia owns good portions of London ....

Yup there are deals out there sometimes if it can be done its good to stretch oneself, its the way many people have made money, theres sure no point in keeping it in the bank with the dollar in such a state ..buying is the only way ...I am going to look at a property today promises me great Mountain views and city light views.will have more land than what I have here . . .Hey if your DH , lover, BF wants to get you a nice gift this year, ask him for some Gold .......

Oh! That is great on the property deal. Yes, it is a buyers market if you know you have a
good chance of keeping your job.

When the boys leave, we would like to get property up in the Ozark Mountains in AR. I would just love a log home with quiet country hills with a small stream flowing through.
My neice bought a small two story home on Bull Shoals Lake. Three sides of their property is on the lake and the side with property is on a US National Forest site. All
of that for $150,000.00. I told her to take it and run. Her husband wants to be a fishing guide when he retires. This is just perfect for that.

Yes thats the dilema..there are so many opportunities out there , I guess the ones who can hang onto their jobs will be able to benefit..I was talking to the realtor and she said that the housing market has risen but they have been told there will be another downturn ahead, I guess what state folks live in is the differance aswell. I know that the beach cities seem to be still fairly high as everyone wants to live there, in the deserts you can pick up properties at amazing prices but I wouldnt want to live out in the desert,I love to go travelling across them maybe a stop overnight but not to live all year round too desolate ..,

Yes, it's a buyer's market if you can afford it. I wish we could right now. The thing is, we want to sell our house but don't want to lose on it so we're in a bit of a bind. We're going to try to wait till next Summer and see how the market is doing. I'm hoping we can sell our house by then and move into something smaller. We just cannot afford to lose on the house.
