Tetanus vaccine active for how long?

Hi, I had a minor leg injury 3 months ago, and at that time I had taken a shot of Tetanus vaccine. Now, just today I got a cut on my head from a rusty metal. Should I take the shot again?

Only if you like getting tetanus shots a whole heck of a lot.  More than likely your doctor would stop you.

Thank you! But I was informed by someone that it is good to take a shot everytime injury happens. Is it necessary?
