The vaccine insert says that it hasn't been proven safe or effective in pregnancy.  The vaccine insert also says that it is not tested for carcinogenicity, mutagenicity, or impairment of fertility.  Check this yourself.

The vaccine insert also says that it hasn't been proven to reduce the incidence of flu-like illnesses.  This year's vaccine strain is already acknowledged to be the wrong one.  Why are they still pushing flu vaccine so hard?  To use up stocks?

Multi-vial flu shots still contain thiomersal (mercury) as a preservative, which is highly toxic in any amount.  It also contains aluminium, which is a known neurotoxin and also with no available information on what is a 'safe' amount.  The developing baby is highly sensitive as it's brain is growing so rapidly.

It used to be that vaccines were absolutely contraindicated in pregnancy - a time when the immune system is in very delicate balance so that the developing baby, a foreign body, is not rejected.  It is only recently that this has been changed.   The long term consequences are unknown.

I refused to take any vaccines during pregnancy.   I urge anyone to research carefully.  If anything happens to your baby (because you have flu - usually easily treatable with supportive care and hydrate), or the vaccine - then you and only you will have to bear the consequences.

I would take flu shots. Flu shots are predictions of what the major flu virus will be. I would try asking for a single-dose flu shot if there is one. Either way, it'll help you and those around you. I created a Facebook group called vaxxers debate and would like people to join it. We can discuss topics like these and leave them out for others on a widely accessed social media site.

I used to be completely against it until i worked in a pharmacy and all employees got the shot for free regardless if you had insurance or not. I was one of those "I've never gotten the fku and won't ever get it" but i was definitely wrong on that one. 4 months before i got pregnant with my fitst, i got the flu but only had a mild version of it for a day because i had gotten my flu shot that year. Thank goodness i did. I now get it every year regardless of what anyone else says. Especially being pregnant,  you want to take all precautions when it comes to your baby. You have to get the shot though, because the nasal one is a live vaccine and pregnant women aren't allowed to get those.

I had it the doctor def talked me into it. I've never had it done before and the only reason I agreed was the dr said this years vaccine was very weak but still effective compared to passed vaccines. I was fine I made it through the season with just one bad cold but not the flu.

Mas, u can get the 4 strain flu shot or the 3 this flu season- im in aus too. Sounds like ur not keen on it, but I'm someone who has it every year so it was a no brainer for me. I had that n the whooping cough on the same day. Its ur call, u know ur body. I do have pretty severe asthma so I know that just a cold can turn into a chest infection and a trip to the ED very quickly. If u work in retail or something dealing with the public, I'd have it just to be safe. Also if ur working in air conditioning, I'd have it too. But if u generally have a good immune system then by all means, make the choice based on ur circumstances. Fyi ppl who get sick after having it are usually having a mild reaction to the vaccine rather than catching it from the medicine.

The vaccine thus year didn't even cover the major strain going around!  I truly believe the flu shot is the biggest scandal from drug companies

I won't get one.  Didn't get one for the boys either. The flu virus is always changing. No sense in taking something that might or might not work. Plus we are hardly ever sick. My kids probably have been sick once in their entire life.

Never got it... Never will... Especially while pregnant! It has no benefit to the baby and you could still get the flu! Why inject yourself and your baby with those nasty chemicals!

I'm a pharmacist and give over a thousand flu shots every year.  I won't get into a big spiel, but I highly recommend getting the flu shot during flu season.  Pregnant woman are at higher risk for complications if they do get the flu. That being said, flu season is pretty much over so there's not a need to get one now.  Plus, it would take two weeks for it to even take effect.

Definitely a no for me. It's the least safe and effective vaccine out there. While you have more protection against the few strains of flu in the vaccine, a number of studies have shown you actually have more chance of catching all other respiratory diseases. So I like to keep my immunity as high as I can by NOT taking it.

Well you really dont want to risk getting the flu. Flu comes with fevers and fevers arent good for the baby and
If they get to high can cause miscarige
mmm dont think i spelt that right

I've been too sick most of my pregnancy with one thing or another to get it. I refuse to get it even if I have just a cold. I feel it's why people get "sick from flu shots". It's not the shot, it's the already weakened immune system

I took the flu shot. They is no harm in taking it plus you don't want to get sick so it'll either prevent it or it won't come as strong
