vaccination and circumsizing

Me and hubby are having a debate about vaccinating the baby. I want to because I was and also to protect the baby from other germs. His theory is it leads to autism and other things. What will you ladies be doing? And I want to circumcised my baby boy but his dad told us not to due to religion. i wanna do whats best for my baby.

P.s im 35 weeks pregnant 5more weeks to go :))

I believe that unless there is a medical reason, a procedure that permanently alters a person's body should be made only by the person it affects. A boy can be taught good hygiene and can choose to be circumcised as an adult if he chooses. The majority of men in the world are intact.
I personally believe vaccinations are important. There's a resurrgence of diseases that haven't been around for a long time because of people choosing not to vaccinate their children. It's a big debate and people are passionately on both sides.

Just have to say that they DO use a painkiller curing circumsicion... i watched my sons, he was a day old and slept through the whole thing. They inject an anesthetic that numbs the entire area, just if you were to have a mole removed or a root canal done.

I didn't circumcise my son, it seemed cruel, bad for his future sex life, and painful (it is done without painkiller).  If your husband has a strong religious reason not to do it, I don't think you should unilaterally just do it, or you will have a problem in your marriage.  Your son can get circumcised any time in his life, if that is what he himself wants, after all.  It seems like it should be the person's own choice, not you just deciding when he is an infant.  My son is 9, never has had an infection or any such thing.  Be sure that nobody tries to pull up his foreskin when he is young -- they are attached naturally, and that attachment does not dissolve for a number of years, and the penis can be damaged by someone trying to force the foreskin back.  No other issues, just get educated so you know what is what.

Regarding vaccinations, a research doctor falsified some research that was very influential for a while in which he made claims that vaccination leads to autism.  This has been debunked as totally false and the doctor has been disgraced, but the rumor lives on in the Internet world that there is something unsafe about vaccinations.  It is not true, there is far less safety for a child if you do not get him vaccinated.

Vaccinating your baby is the best for them, my daughter had all her necessary vaccinations since birth. Circumcisions must be discussed as a couple as well as with your dr, asking on this site only leads to debates and people judging. At the end the conversation will be closed for any further discussion.

Circumcision I believe is cleaner BUT its a parents choice and I do know a lot of people who choose not to. Vaccination I know is a debate but theres actually recent studies showing there are no links to autism and I would never want to risk my childs or any other childs health because of a rumor. There are children that medically cannot get vaccinated and I believe that if your child is able that it should be done to protect and fight against the come back of diseases like polio (which I actually work with a unvaccinated child who got polio and is now paralyzed)
