Doctor denied me a tetanus shot since my last one was only nine years ago.
My last tetanus (Td) shot was in 2007 (9 years ago). I asked my doctor if I can have my booster shot now before I lose my health insurance in a few weeks. He told me that since I wasn't due for a booster until next year that I would have to wait (and therefore pay for it out of pocket).
Is there really a danger in getting a booster a few months early, or is he just being a jerk?

Ahhh . . . my riddle has been solved: My clinic only carries tetanus vaccines that are combined with pertussis vaccines, and because I have MS my doctor recommends that I avoid the pertussis component. He will not have Td available until early next year.
