Better presentation of moods on mood tracker

Hi, I use the mood tracker to track my bipolar and I think it is great, (thanks for adding the times for rapid cycling!) but I think the moods are mis-represented in some ways. I have been discussing this with some other people who also have bipolar. We were thinking that the current moods are too simple. "Depressed, horrible, bad, okay, good, excellent, manic" often leave us scratching our heads. A lot of us have dysphoric mania and mixed states and these are not represented on the mood tracker. A person can be manic and it is not a good day by any stretch of the imagination. Also, there is no place for hypomania for people like myself with bipolar 2 where we don't experiance full mania.

What I'm thinking is there should be 2 sections, one for "mood" and one for "feeling."
Feelings sould be something like: Dysporic, Horrible, Bad, Okay, Good, Excellent, Euporic
Moods sould be something like: Depressed, Low, Neutral, Hypomanic, Manic

I think something like this could better help us express to our doctors what is really going on in between visits.

These ideas are really great!  I'll pass them on to the development team.  Thanks!

I really agree with this! i have bipolar 1 but have horrible mixed state and at the moment i am unable to really express them the way i would like. ( at the moment i just put the mixed mood in under 'horrible' but it doesn't really work)
I am glad i am not the only one

I also add info, but the thing that gets me is that manic is not the same as happy for everyone. :(

For example, I have BPII, so I don't have manic manic, but hypomanic and that is not represented. Because I don't feel good or happy at all when hypomanic

I am diagnosed as bipolar as well and felt the same way about the mood  tracker. What I have decided to do is add on information when I print the mood tracker. My pdoc accepts paper copies of my mood chart so this will work for me.
