If you would like to remove a post, please send your request to Customer Support through the Contact Us link at the bottom of every page. We do not handle customer support request issues in this forum as it is a Suggestions community.

AR-10 is right. We've had many requests for live chat and we have not yet decided to implement it for the reasons he cited. If you would like to "chat" with others on a more social level, private messaging or the Social forums are great for that. The Social forum can be found here:

Live chat is a terrible idea. Take, oh...two seconds and think about it.

It's been suggested often. It has no value. If you want to chat, go to the Women's Social Forum and chat away.

Chat is too hard to monitor and opens the site to liabilities from several directions. Spammers would love it. Idiots would be telling depressed people to kill themselves. Gossip would run amuck. Wrong information and links to charlatans would not be challenged. The information could not be put in the archive, so it is counterproductive to the site, and conflicts with their desire to build a data base.

Who needs it?
There are at least two social forums here now that you can go to and discuss any topic you wish.

I personally appreciate the fact that we cannot alter our posts. It adds an element of accountability. I've had posts altered and or deleted by Medhelp because I was insulting or attacking another member. I have been forced to learn to be civil.

If you want to post something SO personal that you want to delete it the next day, start a journal, advertise it on the forum if you need to, get your input, and then delete the journal.

Just my highly opinionated, but polite, two cents.
