Not knowing” I have the bitterest experience in my life. A river dam busted in our native town in 79. Twenty thousand persons must have died. Myself and my brother visited the town on the third day. We visited the places of our acquaintances not knowing whether they are alive or not. We used to shout their name from the front of their houses, if they answer, we know they are alive and if there is no reply we know that they have been carried away by the flood water. That was most harrowing experience.
Now let us come to the present. Some one, 80yrs old was going to write to me about the treatment of a disease with Saffron flower. She is the person who would reply promptly. Almost 20 days have passed and there is no reply. I did not find any posting of her in MH. I hope she is on tour or busy with something. This incident prompted me to write about this topic about the information about death of a member
Having been a CL for a very long time online, this is one of the hardest challenges I've noted --- the 'not knowing' ... C~
Thanks for the answer.Guess work is the only alternative.
Hi, Dalubaba,
The depth of the friendships we find in this community is amazing -- it sounds like you two had a very close relationship! I can understand why you're so concerned. Sometimes a member's family members send a PM or post in the forums to let us know what's happening; otherwise, just like you, we have no way of knowing about our members' personal matters.
