Is it possible to track "possible MS" flare's with this great new toy?

The Multiple Sclerosis Tracker is now available. To add the tracker, go to My MedHelp and click "Add a Tracker" in the Tracker Shortcuts panel.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi and thanks for responding to my request.

Can I suggest, because symptoms can be so numerous, that perhaps you could take a look at "Anatomy of a Flare-Up" written up on the Health Pages by "Heather3418"? She has done a great job here. She lists the most common symptoms associated with an MS Flare. Most of these are very typical to all of us.

I don't know whether you could just set up an actual time line like you have say with the blood pressure tracker ( really good by the way ) and then the user would be able to add their own personal content no matter what the actual symptom?
I would imagine trying to set up every possible scenario would be "impossible."

It is a bit hard for me to get my head around but will give it some more thought....

What if you could put in the basic symptoms that seem to be "more common" then perhaps a miscellaneous section where you could add your really out of the ordinary symptoms.
I think it would be good in a graph form say, month by month then months to years to show when the symptoms first appeared, whether the symptoms became worse and for how long, whether and when they abated, disappeared altogether or stayed the same.
The appearance of new or more pronounced symptoms, weakness etc can often be the the case with relapsing remitting MS. Depression is also one of the most common symptoms of MS, is it any wonder..... so maybe even a mood tracker in there also. I notice there is one already but separate.
Us MS'ers would most likely forget to use the mood tracker unless it was right there in front of us in the time line.....memory is a real shocker.
Does this help?
TB
PS This would be especially great for all of us undiagnosed so that we have a documented list of symptoms to take along to the neuro, doc etc as most of us are treated like we are loopy and we must be making up all our problems to get attention!
We can never remember exactly what happened and when if we don't write it down or have a record of it from a family member. I personally don't have anyone to do this for me.

Some folks have a lot of trouble with comprehension and spelling. This can make it look like we are illiterate, which we are not. The disease causes broken attention span, loss of spelling, comprehension etc. If we were to present this to a neuro, (even though you can't read their writing or make sense of theirs), they would think we have no education. Perhaps some sort of spell check would be also very useful.
I haven't checked, can these trackers be printed out?

A multiple sclerosis tracker is a great idea. Please tell us more about what you would like to track and what you consider a flare-up. We'll look into adding this as well. Thanks for the suggestion!
