"PINNING POSTS"

I think it is a horrible precedent to pin personal posts.  I think that should only be done for medhelp notices.  Do you know how many complaints I have gotten about this.  Everybody thinks their info is the most important and wants it kept at the top.  That is why you created HealthPages.  Now some women want a top post on the staging of Ovca in the ovarian cancer forum.  We CANNOT have everyone have a pin in their post and to allow it for one would be to allow it for all.

I think somebody ought to stick a pin in whomever is sporting such an inflated ego. (Let some of the 'hot air' out). I like the posts with the most comments, Duh!! Who doesn't?
When a post doesn't get a comment for X # of days, then stop watching. (Sounds like a no brainer to me).  But then, I've got chronic brain fog!  Thanks MedHelp

You also may have a problem with Community Leaders eventually posting medically inappropriate information and "pinning" it to the top.

Hi,

The member post that was stickied was a mistake and has been corrected. We will allow Community Leaders to sticky post messages and obviously MedHelp will also use sticky posts but that is it for now.

I didn't see a pinned note on the ovarian cancer forum except from medhelp but i saw one on the ovarian cyst forum.  I haven't seen them do that in the other forums.  Is this something new we can do if we think we have something good that should stay on the top? If we all can do it what is the point?  I guess I am confused.  I used to come on medhelp but i forgot my username so maybe some things have changed.  So can we all do that now?  It sounds cool but i see what you are saying Jan about that & it doesn't seem right if we all can't do it.
