A warning message if people have you blocked or set to not take

Is there a way you can get a message that says that the user is not accepting pm messages or notes before you hit the send.

I just find it bothersome to type the message out and then find after the fact that it won't be going through. With pm messages I don't get any notices at all. Rather I just get brought back to the inbox without my message/

I've come across a few profiles that don't take notes, even some of my friends.  But right now the only way to know if the user is not accepting notes is if you type up the note and then get a message after you send it...

I'm not going to highlight anyone that I've blocked or been blocked by because that's past stuff, but I found out I don't get any message... Instead I get directed back to my inbox and whatever I typed gets lost.

What I'd like to see is before I click on reply some notice to say I can or can't send stuff to any person I'm sending to. Maybe just a general thing saying, "this user is not accepting pm messages, or the not accepting notes at the time" message right when you click the note button before typing.

Thanks for the suggestion. The block feature is intended to allow people to not receive messages and contact from someone they feel they'd rather not talk to. We don't want to highlight to the person that is blocked that someone has done this. We'll consider this option if many of our members feel this is an issue. Please add a comment to this thread if you've encountered this issue and would like it changed.

Thanks,
