Moving Graphics

Dear Medhelp,

You know I am a long time member of this site. Thank you for all you do for the members. I know you get support from advertisers and I totally understand that I will see advertisements on the forums. I have even clicked on a few of the advertisements to check out their message. However, I have not checked on any ads recently as I am having a difficult time dealing with the newer "moving" ads.

I am even having difficulty typing this note to you because I am so extremely distracted by the "moving" graphics. The other day I actually got up from the computer and got scotch tape from the kitchen so I could tape a piece of paper over a part of the computer just so I could finish typing a brief message to a forum friend. I guess this is one of the reasons I am so glad you do not offer "moving" smiley faces and the like. I find them so distracting that I usually won't read a post on other sites on the Internet if those smiley faces are running all over the post!

Is there some way you could decrease the amount of motion? Please? Maybe you could have the ad "jump" out at us once, twice, or even three times and then be done with the movement and just leave the ad for the duration of the time the typist (member) is posting???

I really appreciate having this suggestion forum... In the meantime I am honestly getting dizzy!

Sincerely,

Mary

This is a REAL problem on the MS Forum as well.  It's the new "Sensa" ad with the incredible shrinking woman.  She expands, then loses weight, she expands, then loses weight....you get the picture.

Please Med-Help, these kinds of ads are very difficult for some people, especially people that have Neurological problems or eye problems, not to mention people with seizure disorders.  This kind of ad in fact, can actually bring ON a seizure.

This is one of those suggestions that I believe needs immediate attention by MedHelp.  Please!

Hi, I totally agree with Mary.  It's annoying and distracting.  I wish some of them could be moved to the bottom of the pages.  Especially the ones that flash like a strobe.

Thanks
