Organzing Photo's on Profile Page

Is there any way you can organize your profile pictures? I hate the fact that when you upload a new photo it appears as the first photo. The reason I am asking is that I have tons of pictures of my son who is now a Baby Angel, and I never want to upload any new photos, because it makes me sad when it pushes his photos to the back.  I am currently pregnant and I would love to show my ultrasound photos but I just can't bring myself to do this, because it hurts so bad seeing Baby Angel Cooper's picture pushed further back.

Another nice feature would be that when you set up a new page for your baby that only those pictures show up on that page and not your main page as well. I know this is so petty but as a grieving mother it really hurts.
Thanks,
Rachel

You can add additional photo albums with titles in your 'Profile' page. But, you'll first need to get into your photo album. Once you're in, you should see the word: Album... click on that. Then, you should see a drop down list and the word: New Album... click on that. Then, type in the name or title that you want for that album... then, click 'Save'. With the new album, you can add/ upload more pics without displacing the ones that you already have.

Thank you!! My issue is not with adding more photo's it is with that they push the older ones to the back and do not let you re-organize them.  I just wish you could set up a new baby page or family page that those pictures would only show up on that page and not on your main page as well.

I appreciate you taking the time to answer my post! Thanks!!

The ability to create photo albums was added several months ago. You can read the FAQs on Photos to get started.

Take a look at MJIthewriter's profile to see how she has implemented photo albums on the Outdoors and Cats.

Medhelp,

Not really sure if you understood my question.  I know how to make multiple albums. My question is can you make an album and only have it show on that particular "baby page" and not your profile and you can you change the order the pictures show up after they have be uploaded????

By the way MJ has no pictures up, so bad example.

Thanks anyway

I think that I might have an answer to 1/2 of your question. I found that if I totally deleted my pics; and, then uploaded them again, in the reverse order that I want them to appear, I saw them in the album... in the sequence that I wanted them to show. As you probably know, the photo album itself will hold plenty of pics; but, 6 images seem to be the max if you want a balanced display. If you look at my own Profile page (iam1butterfly), the album titled Journeys was done this way. Hope this helps.

Sorry, MJIthewriter's photos are Friends Only, not public so you aren't able to see it. So if you already know how to make multiple albums, follow these steps to make a specific album show up on a baby page:

1. Go to the Baby Page.
2. Click the Page settings (the gears button in the upper right).
3. Add a Photo Album widget (This is different from your Recent Photos widget which shows up on your profile page). You can add a widget to display your existing photo album or you can create an entirely new one.
4. If you want to reorder the pics in your album, you can remove them and add them again. When you remove them from an album, they still exist in your photo collection but just not in that album. You can then add them back to your album from your photo collection in the order that you want. Be sure to click Remove and not the delete (x) button. (This may not be as easy as drag and drop, but at least you don't have to upload the photo to MedHelp again.)

Your profile displays your most Recent Photos. If you want to add Photo Albums to this page, you can do so, but you cannot remove Recent Photos.

Hope that helps. If you need further help, you should contact Customer Support through the Contact Us link.

Thanks,
MedHelp
