SPEED OF SITE

Since changes were made to this site, I am finding the speed of the site to be beyond slow. So many different things are loading on each page that to pull one up, I have to have a lot of time to sit and wait for it to do so.  If I want to answer a question, I again wait a long time (and we are talking 5 to 8 or more minutes) for a question to show itself and to be able to scroll up or down to read it as the page reloads.  It took me over 30 minutes to see two questions and answer them this morning.  My computer is a bit slow, granted, but not like this.  Other sites that I visit move at the speed they always have.

Now I wouldn't care if I didn't visit med help often and want to be a part of the community. I would like to be able to navigate through this site at a normal speed.  Any suggestions?
