Hi,
This is a fairly requested feature and something we have looked at. However, the Browsers themselves are already doing this, so we have decided not to build this on our own. This is possible to get right now though. Here are two ways.
1. Switch your browser to Firefox - Firefox already has a spell checker built into the browser. So, as you type, it spell checks. You can get Firefox here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ (by the way, this is faster than IE and is a terrific browser so worth a try)
2. Internet Explorer Plug In - If you use Internet Explorer 7, there's a nice plug in that adds the spell checker. It's at: http://www.windowsmarketplace.com/details.aspx?view=info&itemid=1513531.
Hope this helps.

Peekawho: I think it is a great idea, and I get what you are saying. Some people have VERY limited computer skills and wouldn't know how to go about downloading and than using a program like that. I just keep another window open so I can check my spelling if i need to. I don't usually, but some seem like they could really use it.
Mid: This is a website that I often send people to in order to straighten out the to, too, two confusion. It is a cute site and will help you remember when to use to and when to use too. I am sure you were only kidding, but just in case. Does spell check catch homophones? I don't think it does.

You're talking about people who may be very limited in some cases, Phil. It would just be much easier for them if there was just something right there in the post to click on to see if your spelling was at least in the ballpark.
Or not. Clearly, no one here is interested, so I'll just stop. Its just something that has been asked for and asked for, for a long, long time amongst the forum users.
Even IE has an addon for a free spell check

Sunny, its not for us. Its for others who may not be aware of how to use and download other browsers with spell check.
If there was a simple spell check feature offered embedded in the post feature, someone MIGHT be more tempted to use it.
I beg you too,to or is that two???????? ;)
