Suggestions for the Profiles

I noticed that when someone posts a comment on a personal photo in someone's profile, that when you sign in there is no way to know this, unless you go directly to that photo.  They do have the 'actions' part on the right hand sideboard, but that can become filled within a day and you can no longer see what's happened.  Would there be a way to reflect the number of comments made on a photo so that when you go to your photo area, it will show that someone has commented?  I think it's the same way with journal entries.  Someone can comment and you won't know unless you specifically go to that particular journal entry.  Unless MedHelp sends an email that someone has commented to your personal address.  I'm new here and don't know all the ins and outs yet.  Just a thought.

Also, it would be nice to have a method of pulling up members who live nearby (i.e. if you are in a state you could locate all of the members on MedHelp who are within that area?)  Just another thought, lol.

Thanks for your consideration.

Thank you so much for letting me know that.  I'm still in the learning process and appreciate your assistance.  I am getting the emails and feel a little more comfortable moving around the site now.

Thanks again and have a wonderful evening.

Comments on your photos show up on your logged in home page. If you look on the right side, you'll see a panel called Notifications. If someone comments on your photo or journal, or leaves you a note, you'll be able to see it there.

In addition, we automatically send you an email whenever someone leaves you a note, comments on one of your photos, or comments on one of your journals. If you didn't provide an accurate email address or turned this off in your user settings, you won't get the emails. A lot of our members use these emails to know when someone is trying to interact with them.

Thanks,

You can search for members by area -- go to the people page (select from the top menu bar) and you'll see the member search form on the right hand side.

Of course, it isn't fine grained, and many people don't specify their exact location. Still, it lets you find people who want to be found.
