Forum Leaders?

Have you ever considered having Leaders/Moderators for your Forums (outside of the Dr./Patient Forums) ?   I post regularly on the Thyroid Disorder Board and have been "informally" leading the board with great success .. it boosts the viewership and more importantly bonds a community together where friendships can start as a sense of true "community" comes thru on the board rather than just clinical dialogue?

I used to be a Moderator @ iVillage for 8 years and recently stepped down .... it was a very rewarding experience for both myself and the members of the board.

Is this something you will consider in the future?

Thank you,
Cheryl (ChitChatNine)

Thanks Cindy.  The date is October 25th (not 10/24) My errror.  The same 4 posts have not been answered. I am wondering if they have seen them.  They are clearly visible to the members but perhaps not the Truman Group.

Hi,

Let me look into why they seemed to have skipped your question. I'm sure it was accidental. They are a new partner so they are still getting used to our software.

First off, thank you for the "growing..best lil medical forum" on the internet. You surely have come a log way with great dedication and enthusiasm.  God Bless You.

I have posted a question back on 10/24/2007 on the Interventional forum.  My question was never answered by the Truman Group nor has 3-4 others. These unanswered questions have now gone to the back page and no longer in front.  Were they missed by the Truman group or perhaps they did not know the answers.  Do all questions get answered or is it a hit and a miss.
Thanks Cindy for your help.

So, are we able to post questions to doctors here outside the forum that we discuss ourselves?  I am really needing some expert help that I cannot seem to get anywhere else.  I was hoping to at least get "some" expert advice or advice on where I can get it.  It always says that the daily limit is reached?  When can we post to a doctor?  Or am I just confused.? I am about ready to give up.  I have received only one or two people on the forum that have responded and I really need some help from somebody that understands research and neurology.  My entire life future depends on it and I cannot figure out how to get help.  I am running out of time in order to achieve financial help and am a legal situation where I may not even be able to find out what may have caused, if possible, what I have.  I feel I have no future left other than becoming homeless and I would rather just not be going through this.  I am usually noted for my optimism (probably to the point of being a pollyanna...but, I am now getting very cynical).  This is not being depressed--this is being realistic.  I have fought just about every way I know to fight and I guess I lose.   I guess I just put too much hope into something like this.  I am the type of person that needs answers to move forward.  My whole life future depends on getting help.  I have no family or friends left to rely on...I guess I am paying for some bad karma or something.  I know what I need to try and deal with this situation and move forward and I cannot find any help.  Doctors keep asking me questions that I cannot explain because I cannot get the answers and help to my questions.  Thanks to the two people that have answered my postings.  I appreciated it.  I guess I will write Montel Williams or someone noted and then if that does not work I will have lost the battle.  I do not mean to sound selfish as I know that there are a lot of people out there worse-off than myself.  But, I am trying to act while I can.  I am not so much depressed as I am angry.  I would like to resolve my issues so that I can be an activist for someone else.  I am being forced to give up by powers beyond me.  I am trying not to quit on life...but I am tired of it.

Hi,

We do have a few forums with moderators outside of MedHelp and we're always looking for more. I just sent you a private message regarding this.
