Can I get rabies from Mink oil getting into a wound?

Hi. I'd like to know, could you get rabies from mink oil? I was fixing a camera I had been previously oiling the leathers with some mink oil and had some on my hands when my screwdriver slipped and cut me. Im afraid and pretty sure some of the mink oil got into the wound. This is the canned stuff they sell on the internet. I'm afraid of getting rabies from this. My sister read on the internet that rabies only lives in dead animals for no more than 24hr and you cannot get it from their blood or urine, etc. Only from saliva or cerebrospinal fluid, but then other sources say you can get it from meat. Contradicting information. Thanks for your input in advance!

Rabies is transmitted via saliva only.  You would have to be bitten by the animal or have it saliva enter a fresh wound in order for this to be a concern.  You can forget about rabies from this event or anything like it.

I agree. You have to get the infected animals saliva into a open wound, or mucous membranes.
